Canon Successfully Concludes Participation in GPP

Dubai, United Arab Emirates – Canon Middle East (CME), the leading imaging technology provider, has successfully concluded its participation in Gulf Print & Pack (GPP) 2022, where it showcased its full range of advanced technologies and of innovative solutions, while welcoming the launch in the Middle East of the revolutionary imagePRESS V1000.

Canon’s presence at the GPP underscored its market-leading position and witnessed heavy foot traffic and interest from customers, suppliers and partners, particularly those based in Iraq and Saudi Arabia. Resulting in transactions worth more than $2.5 million, customer confidence in Canon is at an all-time high as Canon reaffirms its commitment to supporting customers in their post-pandemic recovery. Highlighting its digital printing technology, inkjet capabilities, large format technology and comprehensive workflow from prepress to postpress technology, the popularity of Canon’s digital printing products was further bolstered by customer appetite for on-the-spot deals, including orders for 9 imagePRESS V1000s, 6 Arizona Series units and 4 Colorado Series units, to name a few.

“Digital printing has become a major trend in the post-pandemic era and we are extremely proud to lead the way, when it comes to helping customers navigate the latest technologies in this area. Our success at GPP is a testament to the fact that our customer-centric approach is working and we will continue to invest more in technology and innovation, to keep raising the bar,” said Shadi Bakhour, Business Unit Director, Canon Middle East.

Canon’s stand at the GPP offered visitors the opportunity to get up close and personal with 5 dedicated areas showcasing real world applications of inkjet, large format and production printing. The highlight of the stand, however, was the ‘Make it’ café, an actual café concept that demonstrated the reach and impact of how Canon’s various technologies and applications could be used to outsmart and decorate any restore point.
