When owner Sharon Abergel wanted to take his wife to celebrate an occasion or have a nice dairy meal in their Philadelphia neighborhood, they had nowhere to go. So he did something about it. He opened Espresso Cafe & Sushi Bar. That was June 2004. Today, everyone in Philadelphia has a place to go, thanks to Sharon. Sharon is an easy going guy who believes that if you are genuine and give customers what they want, they will appreciate it and come back. It guarantees that each customer who comes for the first time, will undoubtedly come for a 2nd, 3rd and 4th time. He knows his food is excellent. Everything is made on site with the freshest ingredients. For breakfast, try one of their great pastries or omelettes. They actually have 7 different omelettes, all made with 3 eggs and topped with garden fresh vegetables and served with bread and butter. For lunch, a great way to start the meal is with French Onion Soup. It’s full of sliced onions, lightly spiced croutons, all topped with mozzarella cheese. Simply delicious! You can follow this with a perfectly toasted sesame seed baguette wheel, with tuna, cheese, olives and a hard-boiled egg. There are plenty of salads to choose from as well as specialties such as Carpacho, Malawah and Burekas. Of course, you might want a dish of pasta with cheese or sauce or a savory fish, such as Telapia de Saint-Pierre served with Tahini sauce and pine nuts. To complement their menu, they also offer a number of sushi rolls. And we would be remiss not to try one of their homemade desserts combined with a good hot cappuccino.

I love this place! Their food is always fresh and delicious! The owners and staff are super friendly and accommodating.

Thank you very much for the wonderful dinner, courtesy and service. Your efforts to serve Cherry Hill are tremendous Chesed and greatly appreciated. As a people with a history of survival, emunah, bitochon, we are truly one nation, and your efforts exemplify our strength as we come together and work for the benefit of all.

Thank you for helping us create a wonderful Simchat bat for our granddaughter. The food was delicious and our guests were delighted with all the choices of cooked meals and salads. We know we will use you in the future. Many thanks from my husband and I.

What option do you offer for a 5 year old birthday party? We would need something hot (in tin trays to warm up, like macaroni and cheese or pasta) or cold sandwiches. What kind of price > I guess about 15 16 kids.

I have been going to this restaurant since it opened over 10 years ago and always enjoy its relaxed and elegant ambiance. They have a great selection of carefully prepared and tasty dishes. Not only do I love the pasta, sushi, soups and sandwiches, but I also love the people who work there. Sharon the owner is extremely nice and always very pleasant! Highly recommend going there for amazing kosher food!

Very delicious food in a pleasant atmosphere. French onion soup is the best.

Espresso cooked dinner at our annual owners meeting and it was a great success. Everything was beautifully presented and most importantly – the most delicious. I received many compliments and we look forward to engaging Sharon and her time again in the future!

I came here with my family, friends and former students and EVERYONE loved the food and the atmosphere. Sharon, the owner is always ready to go out of her way to meet everyone’s needs. I especially liked the fact that I could come on my birthday, December 25, and have a delicious meal as well as the owner singing Happy Birthday in Hebrew, while serving dessert. I wish Espresso and Sharon and her family the BEST as they work to give us the BEST. Shalom.
