CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cleveland restaurateur Fadi Daoud is opening a third Heck’s Café in the former Blu Restaurant space at 3355 Richmond Road in Beachwood. The opening is scheduled for November. Daoud bought Ohio City Heck’s Café in 2005 and opened the Avon location in 2015. He also owns Antica Italian in Avon.
The neighboring property to the new Heck’s, the former Cut151 restaurant, will become a private event space until Daoud develops a separate concept for it.
“We always envisioned an East Side location for Heck’s,” explains the owner. “This property lends itself to an expansive bar/lounge, outdoor space, as well as 200 seats for dinner parties.”
The new property will feature the same menu as other Heck’s locations, dominated by burgers topped with gourmet toppings. For example, the hot fire burger is topped with jalapenos, bacon jam, pepper-jack cheese, spicy aioli, lettuce and tomato and is served on a pretzel bun.
Daoud’s favorite burger is the market burger topped with braised ribs, Béarnaise sauce, cheddar cheese and arugula. The burgers are made from a proprietary blend of grass-fed beef raised near Columbus.
While the market burger is a staple, he says, “The menu changes twice a year. We keep the menu staples that have been around for a long time, but we use updated recipes and presentations. »
All three Heck locations will participate in a local brand 50th anniversary celebration later this year.
