Record growth attributed to a community-focused culture and a full-service menu that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner
Brentwood, TN (RestaurantNews.com) Just Love Coffee Coffee, the growing full-service neighborhood cafe, announced franchise units operating in 23 states with 85 more under development. The Tennessee cafe, best known for its artisan, fair trade and organic coffees, craft beverages, waffles and full-service menu, announced that it has doubled its franchise units since it originally opened with three stores in 2018. The brand has consolidated its footprint in Tennessee has 10 locations, but has since expanded into the United States with open franchises in Arizona, Colorado, Mississippi, Wisconsin, New Jersey, Missouri, North Carolina, North Carolina South, Utah and Minnesota. Franchise development director Kevin Bauerle said the phenomenal growth can be attributed to several factors that make Just Love Coffee different from the average coffee shop.
“Just Love Coffee represents the pinnacle of what American coffee culture aspires to be,” Bauerle said. “Not only do we serve premium specialty roast coffee that is hand-roasted in small batches, but we have a welcoming atmosphere that invites our customers to return to socialize, work or dine at any time of the day or night. evening. Most customers are surprised that we offer full meals rather than a few snacks or pastries available in many cafes.
The meteoric growth of Just Love Coffee is also due to the brand’s aggressive franchise development plan which often places new units in small, underserved markets with populations of 10,000 or less. Susan and Michael Norris are new franchise owners in Plainview, Nebraska, where the population is 1,350, but locals can’t wait for the cafe to open in early 2023, according to a survey.
“We’ve interviewed many people in the area and they’re thrilled to have a community-focused cafe here,” said Susan Norris, who is renovating a historic 1892 building that once served as an opera house, a hall swimming pool and a haberdashery. “There are no other cafes within a 45-mile radius, so we’re not at all worried about competition.”
Franchise owner Brent Jackson in Tupelo, Mississippi celebrated the grand opening of his unit Sept. 29 and was amazed at the outpouring of love and support he received from the community. In keeping with Just Love Coffee’s mission to give back and support charitable causes, the Tupelo location hosted a fun Le Bonheur 5K Pumpkin Run to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. And new franchise owner Scott Lentini in Matawan, New Jersey, said he’s seeing a similar enthusiastic response from customers accustomed to big-chain cafes in nearby metro areas.
“Straight away they are aware that we have something special, unique and different,” said Lentini, who runs the business with his family. “We’ve only been open a few weeks, but we have events, giveaways, prizes and we have a great atmosphere where people can go out or work any time of day or night. The fact that we have a full kitchen and people don’t have to go looking for meals elsewhere is a huge plus.
Bauerle added that there was no end in sight for the brand’s franchise development with many territories open at fantastic prices and rights of first refusal. He confirmed the brand was on track to open 40 more locations by the end of the first quarter of next year.
“No matter where you find a Just Love Coffee location, you’ll see that we’re committed to giving back to the communities we serve, treating customers with generous hospitality, and creating a fun experience,” Bauerle said. “We’re always looking for community-minded franchise owners who want to make a difference.”
