New tenant takes over Sunset Lakes cafe

A new catering company now operates the Sunset Lakes Café in Peel.

Calwin Catering Limited, an Isle of Man company, is the new tenant of the cafe, which is part of a site that houses four holiday homes and has lakes for anglers.

The company also operates the Ballacregga bar and restaurant in Laxey, having taken it over at the end of last year.

Describing Sunset Lakes as “the epitome of a hidden gem”, its manager Paul Lewin said: “Sunset Lakes in Peel is a perfect complement to our business.

“It fits perfectly with the casual dining philosophy of our businesses. It’s a perfect place to escape your hectic life where the kids have space to play in our safe and secure playground, while you relax on the terrace.

“We are also pleased to introduce Kyle Shimmin as General Manager. Kyle got off to a flying start and built a team ready to hit business targets.

Mark Callow, Manager and Executive Chef, added: “You can be assured that we will be serving the same quality food that we are known for at Ballacregga Cornmill in Laxey.

“With ever-changing promotions, our beautiful core menu and a superb Sunday carvery, we have something for everyone.

“We also look forward to catering and hosting your events.”

Sunset Lakes is open seven days a week from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Booking for lodges can be found at
