A new Paris Baguette franchise will open in Corona on Tuesday.
The cafe will open at 37-38 Junction Blvd. and will offer the same menu as its other restaurants including big cakes, slices of cake, cookies and yogurt. The bakery will also serve a wide range of baked breads and pastries as well as salads and gourmet sandwiches.
The franchise is owned by the owners of the Jackson Heights and Astoria Paris Baguette stores.
“We’ve had a lot of love since we opened in Jackson Heights four years ago,” said Meghna Negandhi, co-owner of the Corona franchise as well as the Jackson Heights store at 88-16 Northern Blvd.
Negandhi and his business partner Hetal Doshi also opened a location in Astoria in 2021 on 31-08 30e Ave. They brought in an additional partner for the Corona business in Dhvanish Shah.
“We really feel like the community likes our product, so we see a lot of opportunities opening the new store,” Negandhi said.
Paris Baguette, a Korean company that offers French-inspired baked goods, has more than 4,000 retail stores worldwide, including about 100 in the United States.
There are a dozen stores in Queens, including bakeries in Sunnyside, Flushing, Bayside, Jackson Heights, Astoria, Long Island City, Auburndale, Rego Park, Forest Hills, and Little Neck.
The bakery is known for making its food products in-store every day. The company also serves hot and cold coffees.
The Corona location is large, measuring 2,300 square feet and 44 seats.
Negandhi said she is looking forward to opening and thinks Paris Baguette will do well in Corona as its residents have a festive and family spirit.
“We know families like to celebrate here,” Negandhi said. “We like to open in family-oriented neighborhoods.”
