Random: Pokémon Cafe kicks off spooky season with Gengar-themed items

For those of us still soaking up the latest summer vibes, seeing companies relocate to consider their fall items is enough to send shivers down your spine. The rapid passage of time becomes a little made easier, however, by the promise of a spooky season, and Japan’s Pokémon Cafe chain has prepared us to welcome the colder months with open arms.

Gearing up for the Halloween period, The Pokémon Cafe today unveiled a new line of spooky Gengar-themed items that will be making a spooky appearance in their stores starting September 3.

The latest additions to the menu cover entrees, desserts and drinks looking to combine into a ghost-like food festival. Why not stock up on Gengar cheese fondue and a smoothie before washing it all down with a mocha topped with a Pokémon? Yes we will take the Gengar menu please take it easy on the mud bomb.

Of course, as with many Pokémon Cafe purchases, you also have the option of bringing the dining experience home. Any customer who purchases the Gengar Soup will receive a Pokémon Lunch Mat, and those who head to the Spooky Drinks will receive one of three exclusive coasters.

And for those who really want to complete their Pokemon table, the exclusive Gengar soup dish and cutlery will also be available to buy separately from one of the cafes for 3,850 and 880 yen respectively (around £24 and £5 each) .

Although we know that these decorations would be seriously Step up our Halloween party game, all food and collectibles are currently only available at Pokemon Cafes in Japan.
